My 6th grade son used this book as one of his references for a Famous Scientist report at school. The book highlights Mr. Johnson's accomplishment, but what my son liked most was how he could related to Mr. Johnson's spirited personality. This book is an easy read that would also be good for younger children.

This is my first favorite book of the new year! Really gets kids thinking they can do anything. Can't wait to read more by Chris Barton.

Fascinating tale of a NASA engineer, from his youth to adulthood. He was/is always drawing and tinkering, inventing things. Great encouraging read for children.
